Energy, exergy, and economic analyses of a novel biomass-based multigeneration system integrated with multi-effect distillation, electrodialysis, and LNG tank

In this study, a novel multigeneration system is considered from energy, exergy, and economic points of view. The combined composed biomass gasifier, CO2 cycle, cooling system, multi-effect distillation (MED), electrodialysis was assessed. This integrated produces electricity, cooling, distilled water, sodium hydroxide (NaOH), hydrogen chloride (HCl). A parametric study regarding moisture content biomass, the efficiency expander I, LHV salt concentration seawater, number MED effects on performance conducted. obtained energy exergy efficiencies modeled MGS are 75.1% 88.4%. highest lowest destruction rates (EDR) belong to liquefied natural gas line electrodialysis, respectively. proposed 73.17 GWh 103 electrical 1223 Ton NaOH, 1114 HCl, 212.6 m3 potable water annually. influence I cycle investigated.
